Here's how to set up your own domain name in your social media campaign emails. Follow these steps and when your participants receive emails from you, they will see your own domain as the sender.

Setting Up White Label Campaign Emails (Enterprise Plans Only)

Introduction

For businesses looking to maintain brand consistency across all platforms, white labeling social media campaigns is essential. This guide will help you set up white-label email notifications for various social media campaigns like photo contests, viral sweepstakes, and more.

Steps to Set Up White Label Emails

1. SMTP Access Requirement:

  • Ensure you have SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) access. This can be through a separate service or your domain provider.

2. Choosing a Service Provider:

  • For this demonstration, we'll use Mailgun, a user-friendly service offering 10,000 free emails monthly.
  • Set up an account with Mailgun or a similar service.

3. Adding Your Domain:

  • Go to the ‘Domains' section in Mailgun.
  • Add a subdomain, e.g., mail.yourdomain.com.
  • Verify the domain as per Mailgun’s instructions.

4. Domain Settings:

  • In Mailgun, navigate to ‘Domain Settings' to find SMTP credentials.
  • Note down the SMTP server address, port, and encryption details.

5. SMTP Credentials:

  • Locate your SMTP credentials (username and password) under ‘SMTP Credentials' in Mailgun.
  • If you don’t have these details, reset your password.

6. Configuring Email Preferences:

  • Go to ‘Account Preferences' in your campaign management software.
  • Choose ‘Email Notification Preferences'.
  • Select ‘Use Your Mail Server'.
  • Input SMTP server details, port, encryption type, authorized username, and password.

7. Setting Default Sender Information:

  • Choose a default sender name, like Customer Service or your company name.
  • Set the default sender/reply-to email. It should match your domain to ensure deliverability (e.g., support@yourdomain.com).

8. Testing Your Setup:

  • Send a test email to your address to ensure everything is set up correctly.
  • Check your inbox to confirm the test email's receipt and appearance.

Conclusion

Once you have successfully set up and tested your white-label email settings, all campaign-related emails will be sent from your domain, enhancing your brand's consistency and professionalism. This completes the white-label experience for your social media campaigns, making your communications more cohesive and aligned with your brand identity.
